LITERATURE:

8th-Holocaust Remembrance project:  Each student is to pick a nonfiction story of a Holocaust victim or survivor.  The student will give an oral report about their story and the main subject of the story.  They will also cast a picture or pictures of this main subject, so we can acknowledge their stories.  These presentations will start on May 13th.  I must approve all book selections, which should be grade appropriate, before Easter break  Students MUST have their book in class when they give their presentation.  Students are to see me if they have any questions.

8th-Final To Kill a Mockingbird quiz tomorrow.  Holocaust Remembrance Project:  You must receive approval for your Holocaust book before you leave for Easter break.  Books must be nonfiction and Jr. High level.  You will be presenting your survivor or victim in an oral presentation & of the story you read.  There is NO written report.  You may have note cards to glance at while presenting.  You will also cast/display a picture of your person on the Smart Board via Chrome Book.

 Please give me the book or name of the book  you are reading for the Holocaust, so I can make sure it is nonfiction.  The  reading level should be Junior High. You will  be giving us an oral presentation of your person, so we can put a name and a story to a person, not just a statistic.   There is no written report.  You may use note cards while you present, to "jog" your memory of information.  You will not be reading off your note cards.
